Owner and founder of Sally Gill Flowers. Specialising in bringing beautiful flower designs to your wedding, party or event. I’m passionate about natural, imaginative designs with an organic feel which I like to combine with Cotswold-inspired elegance, style and romance.
I love the beauty that nature brings, through its flowers and fauna. They have always been a huge source of joy for me. From the vibrant colour of a scented rose to the delicate petals of a pink Peony, the woodland charm of a white Foxglove, or the twist and curl of Jasmine foliage, I’m captivated by their natural beauty and love to create garden-inspired natural flower designs that bring all of these elements to your wedding or event.
Working as a qualified floral designer from my garden studio in the North Cotswolds has allowed me to bring their stunning beauty into people’s lives. I love creating romantic bridal bouquets, elegant arrangements and natural installations that help you celebrate your moments and stand out from the crowd.
With 15 years of experience in weddings and events, I bring a natural, romantic style to each event. I am a perfectionist with an eye for colour and textures and enjoy exploring the infinite possibilities of floral design.
My style is wild and whimsical mixed with classic elegance and luxury. Using my wealth of knowledge and experience I will bring your visual concept to life…
I love to keep up on trends by visiting flower market, local Flower grower and wholesalers both in the UK and overseas, as well as attending courses to explore new ideas.
After working in advertising and living in London, I had always dreamt of working with flowers and running my own business. It was after I enjoyed working with a Floral Designer for my own wedding and spending 4 months travelling with my husband in Chile, Central and South America, where I was emersed in their stunning flora and fauna I decided to go for it and change things!
After studying at Berkshire Agriculture college and obtaining my City & Guilds to Level 3 with distinction in Floristry, I set up my flower studio in London, covering London and the home counties. During this time, I really enjoyed designing for weddings and events at fabulous locations like The Cottage at Kew, Ham House, Highclere Castle, Temple Island Henley-on-Thames and the Connaught Hotel in Mayfair – and also my regular visits to the Covent Garden Flower Markets and other London wholesalers.
My husband and I decided to move to the beautiful Cotswolds to be closer to nature and bring up our son. I just love the natural beauty of the Cotswolds, and it gives me great joy and inspiration for my work.
In my spare time I enjoy country walks with my wonderful Labrador, yoga and music along with cooking healthy organic food and spending time with family and friends.
I’ve always loved to travel spending time in the US, Central, South America, Hawaii and Thailand and especially the Mediterranean with its beautiful flowers and architecture which always gives me added inspiration for my designs.
